Analog front-end: 18-channel ADC and quad DAC for mixed-signal control
Eighteen 12-bit ADC channels and four 12-bit DAC channels are integrated on-chip. That many ADC channels cover three-phase motor current sensing plus a couple of auxiliary inputs (bus voltage, temperature) without needing an external mux. The four DACs can generate analog setpoints or bias references for external op-amps or comparators — handy in a digital power supply where you want to trim the reference on the fly.
CANbus and LINbus — wired for automotive and industrial networks
The CAN interface is the standard 2.0B controller — no external transceiver on the MCU, but the protocol engine is there for in-vehicle or factory-floor bus integration. LINbus covers the lower-cost sensor/actuator sub-bus in automotive body electronics.
Housed in a 48-UFQFPN with exposed pad (7x7 mm), this is a surface-mount part.
