Analog front-end: 17-channel ADC and quad DAC
A distinguishing feature of the G431 is its analog complement: 17 x 12-bit SAR ADC channels and 4 x 12-bit DAC outputs. That ADC count covers multi-phase current sensing in a three-phase motor drive plus a spare for a thermistor or DC-link voltage. The four DACs can generate independent reference or offset voltages, or drive analog set-points without external converters. For a mixed-signal control loop — digital power, field-oriented motor control, or sensor conditioning — this peripheral set reduces external component count and board area.
Connectivity and debug in a 48-pin LQFP
The CAN and LIN support is useful for automotive or industrial bus nodes. For debug and programming, the part works with ST-Link and J-Link probes over the standard SWD interface — no special adapter needed.
Active lifecycle and tape-and-reel ordering
The base part STM32G431CBT6 is the same silicon in a tray or tube; the only difference is the shipping medium. For a production BOM, the TR variant is the one that feeds the line directly.
