The STM32F446VET7 runs the ARM Cortex-M4 core at 180 MHz. The 512 KB Flash and 128 KB RAM are sized for a mid-complexity application.
Connectivity and peripherals — what is on the bus
This MCU carries CANbus, USB OTG (host/device), SPDIF-Rx, SAI (serial audio interface), and a flexible memory controller (EBI/EMI) that can map external SRAM, NOR Flash, or a parallel LCD. The CANbus interface is a single node — enough for an industrial gateway or automotive body controller, but not a multi-CAN backbone. The 81 GPIOs in the 100-LQFP package give you room for a parallel display, external memory, and a handful of sensors without multiplexing. The 16-channel 12-bit ADC and dual 12-bit DAC cover analog front-end needs for current sensing or audio output.
