The STM32F429NIH6E is STMicroelectronics' high-end STM32F4 series MCU built around an ARM Cortex-M4 core with FPU, clocked at 180 MHz. It carries 2 MB of Flash and 256 KB of SRAM on-chip, with 168 general-purpose I/Os brought out to a 216-ball TFBGA package measuring 13x13 mm.
Memory and peripheral set for system-level integration
The 2 MB program Flash is organised as 2M x 8 bits, giving enough room for a full RTOS, TCP/IP stack, graphics library, and application code without external memory for many designs. The 256 KB SRAM supports double-buffered LCD frame updates and DMA transfers. On the peripheral side, the device integrates Ethernet MAC, CAN 2.0B, USB OTG HS/FS, multiple SPI, I²C, UART, and I²S audio interfaces, plus an external memory interface (EBI/EMI) for SDRAM or NOR/NAND Flash expansion. The LCD controller with its own DMA channel can drive a parallel RGB display directly.
