ARM Cortex-M4 at 72 MHz with analog integration
The STM32F318C8T6 is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 MCU from the STM32F3 series, clocked at 72 MHz with 64 KB Flash and 16 KB SRAM. The dual supply range is 1.65 V to 1.95 V core and 1.65 V to 3.6 V I/O. On-chip data converters include an 11-channel 12-bit ADC and a single 12-bit DAC, which reduces external analog front-end components for sensor input or closed-loop control outputs. Peripherals such as DMA, PWM timers, and I2S support real-time data streaming and motor-drive timing. Connectivity covers I2C, SPI, UART/USART, LIN, and IrDA — a typical set for industrial sensor nodes or actuator interfaces.
72 MHz — what it means for the control loop
The 72 MHz Cortex-M4 with FPU handles control loops with headroom for additional math.
Temperature grade and deployment environment
Rated for -40°C to 85°C ambient, this part fits industrial enclosures and outdoor telecom cabinets.
48-LQFP — footprint and board integration
The 48-LQFP package (7x7 mm) is a common MCU footprint. Nineteen GPIOs are brought out.
