Cortex-M4 with DSP and FPU for real-time control
The STM32F303CBT7TR: The Flash is dual-bank capable, supporting read-while-write for firmware updates without halting the application. The device integrates a rich set of analog peripherals: 15 analog-to-digital converter channels at 12-bit resolution and two 12-bit digital-to-analog converters. This reduces external analog front-end components in applications requiring simultaneous sampling of multiple current/voltage signals, such as field-oriented motor control or multi-phase power supplies.
Supply voltage range of 2.0 V to 3.6 V allows operation from a single 3.3 V rail or a 2.5 V regulated supply, with brown-out reset and programmable voltage detector for reliable power-on sequencing.
The MCU supports CANbus (2.0B active), I²C, SPI, USART/UART with IrDA and LINbus, and USB (full-speed device). The inclusion of CANbus makes it a natural choice for industrial automation nodes and automotive body-control modules that communicate over a CAN network. DMA, I²S, PWM timers, and a watchdog timer round out the peripheral set.
