This part ships in a 100-ball WLCSP (4.2 x 4.7 mm) — a wafer-level chip-scale package with no plastic overmold. The footprint is tiny, but it demands a controlled assembly process: the solder balls are the package body, so board-level coplanarity and stencil aperture matter more than with a QFP. With 77 I/O available, you can route multiple serial interfaces (CAN, I²C, SPI, UART, USB) and still have GPIO left for local sensing and control.
