Industrial temperature range and the WLCSP trade-off
The 64-WLCSP (4.47×4.4 mm) saves significant board area compared to an LQFP64 — roughly 7×7 mm vs 4.5×4.4 mm — but it comes with assembly constraints: the package requires a controlled SMT process, stencil design for the fine-pitch bumps, and X-ray inspection for solder-joint integrity. Not a hand-solder or rework-friendly part; plan for a proper reflow profile and a clean PCB surface finish (ENIG or OSP).
Supply voltage and power management
The built-in POR/PVD/PDR circuits handle brown-out detection and power-on reset without an external supervisor — one less BOM line. The internal oscillator can serve as the system clock, though for CAN or USB operation an external crystal is recommended for accuracy.
