Peripherals and I/O — what the 50 GPIOs connect to
The STM32F078RBH7TR: Fifty GPIOs bring out SPI, I²C, USART/UART, USB, IrDA, I²S, LINbus, HDMI-CEC, PWM timers, DMA, and an internal oscillator.
64-UFBGA — not a field-swap package
The 64-UFBGA (5x5 mm) is a 0.5 mm pitch BGA. It needs a controlled-depth stencil, X-ray inspection, and a reflow oven — not something you swap on site with a soldering iron. If your application requires field replacement, look at the LQFP-48 or LQFP-64 variants in the same STM32F0 family. For a production board that stays assembled, the BGA saves 30% board area versus a TQFP.
