A typical bootloader plus a modest application — say, a Modbus RTU slave with a few analog inputs — fits in about 8–10 KB of code, leaving headroom for a small OTA staging area if you use the 1 KB page erase granularity. The 4 KB SRAM limits buffering: a single 1 KB UART FIFO plus a 512-byte protocol stack leaves about 2.5 KB for stack and variables.
Obsolete — what it means for procurement
No further factory orders are accepted, and no last-time-buy window remains open. A design-in for new projects is not viable; a pin-compatible migration to a current STM32F0 variant is the recommended long-term fix.
