600 V N-channel in a PowerFLAT 5x5 — MDmesh M2 primary switch
The STL7N60M2 is a 600 V, 5 A N-channel MOSFET from ST's MDmesh M2 series, housed in a PowerFLAT 5x5 surface-mount package.
At 1.05 Ω max with 10 V on the gate, the STL7N60M2's on-resistance is sized for a flyback output at 600 V bus. The 8.8 nC gate charge keeps gate-drive losses low enough that a simple bootstrap driver can switch it cleanly.
The PowerFLAT 5x5 (8-lead PowerVDFN) is a leadless, exposed-pad package. The 67 W power dissipation at the case (Tc) assumes the pad is soldered to a copper island on the PCB with adequate via stitching to inner layers. The 4 W dissipation at ambient (Ta) reflects a free-air board with no intentional heatsink — a number to use only for light-load or standby conditions. For continuous 5 A operation, the thermal design must pull heat into the board plane.
No immediate LTB risk for production programs.
