The STD95N04 is marked Obsolete by STMicroelectronics. Any requirement for this exact part must be filled through the surplus or broker channel.
Maximum on-resistance of 6.5 mΩ at 40 A, 10 V gate drive. That Rds(on) figure governs conduction loss in the power stage; at 40 A the dissipation is roughly 10 W before accounting for temperature derating. The 110 W package limit at the case gives thermal headroom, but the junction-to-ambient path in a DPAK footprint is the practical constraint — board copper area and airflow matter. Gate charge of 54 nC at 10 V defines the drive requirement. A gate driver capable of sourcing and sinking that charge in the target switching cycle is needed to keep switching losses in check.
Surface-mount DPAK (TO-252-3) with the standard 2-lead-plus-tab footprint.
