The SMCJ10A-TR: This is a Zener-type transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from the TRANSIL™ series, designed to clamp overvoltage transients on power or signal lines. Clamping starts at a minimum breakdown of 11.1V and limits the transient to 21.7V max at the peak pulse current of 461A (8/20µs waveform). That clamping voltage determines the stress the downstream circuitry sees.
