The STMicroelectronics SM6T16A is a unidirectional Zener-type transient voltage suppression diode from the SM6T TRANSIL™ series.
For a 16V unidirectional part, the clamping voltage protects a 12V or 15V rail.
ST has not published an official replacement. A functionally similar TVS from another manufacturer (e.g., Littelfuse SMBJ16A or Vishay SMBJ16A) with the same 16V standoff, 600W rating, and SMB package may serve as a substitute, but pin compatibility and electrical performance must be verified against the original design.
