AEC-Q101 — why the 'Y' suffix matters
The 'Y' in SM6T10AY flags the AEC-Q101 qualification — the automotive stress test suite that includes 1000-hour high-temperature reverse bias, temperature cycling, and surge endurance at elevated junction temperature. Without that suffix (the plain SM6T10A) you get the same silicon in the same package but without the automotive-level screening.
