Product details

6-axis IMU with dual digital interface

The LSM6DSOTR is a 6-axis inertial measurement unit from STMicroelectronics' iNEMO series, integrating a 3D accelerometer and a 3D gyroscope in a single 14-VFLGA package measuring 2.5x3 mm. The part communicates over I²C or SPI, giving the designer a choice of bus topology without changing the sensor footprint.

The 14-LGA (2.5x3 mm) package is a land-grid array with no leads — the solder joints are under the package body, so the PCB land pattern must match the supplier's recommended footprint for reliable self-alignment during reflow. Surface-mount assembly with standard lead-free reflow profiles; the tape-and-reel packaging supports high-volume pick-and-place without reel changeovers.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between LSM6DSOTR and LSM6DSOXTR?

The LSM6DSOXTR adds an integrated finite state machine and machine-learning core for on-chip decision-making, while the LSM6DSOTR is a baseline part without those processing blocks. The pinout and footprint are identical, so a board designed for one can accept the other without layout changes.
