Parametric fit for noise-sensitive rails
The LDLN015PU28R is a fixed 2.8 V output LDO from STMicroelectronics, delivering up to 150 mA continuous current in a 6-DFN (2x2 mm) package with exposed pad for thermal dissipation. Its PSRR profile — 92 dB at 1 kHz rolling off to 50 dB at 100 kHz — means it attenuates switching ripple from a preceding DC-DC converter on a 5.5 V input rail down to microvolt levels for the 2.8 V load. The 180 mV maximum dropout at 150 mA sets the minimum headroom: the input must stay above 2.98 V across current and temperature to maintain regulation.
Thermal and supply range for industrial duty
The 60 µA typical quiescent current (120 µA max supply current at full load) keeps the regulator's own draw low enough for always-on 2.8 V rails in battery-powered instruments. Enable control (active-high) lets a system supervisor shut down the output to zero current, saving the quiescent draw when the rail is not needed.
Protection and package integration
Built-in over-current and over-temperature protection fold back the output under fault conditions — the regulator survives a short on the 2.8 V rail without external crowbar circuitry. ROHS3 compliant per STMicroelectronics declaration; no exemption substances reported.
