75 dB PSRR and protection features
PSRR is specified at 75 dB at 120 Hz — this gives meaningful ripple rejection on the output rail when the input comes from a rectified line-frequency source or a switching preregulator. The regulator includes over-current and over-temperature protection, so a momentary load spike or a failed downstream component shuts it down rather than letting it burn open.
Through-hole mounting and thermal path
The TO-220-3 package (supplier device package TO-220) is a through-hole part with a metal tab that conducts heat to the PCB or a heatsink. The 10 mA quiescent current is typical for this class of LDO — it is not a low-Iq part for battery operation, but for a fixed industrial or appliance rail the quiescent draw is negligible against the load.
