The FERD30M45CR: The TO-262-3 Full Pack (I2PAK) is a fully isolated through-hole package — the metal tab is electrically isolated, so no insulating pad or washer is needed between the device and the heatsink. That saves assembly time and improves thermal transfer consistency. The three leads are standard for a dual common-cathode configuration: the two anodes are separate pins, and the common cathode connects to the tab (pin 2). Verify the PCB footprint matches the I2PAK lead form before layout.
