Dual common-cathode rectifier for 60 V rails
The ST FERD20H60CTS is a dual common-cathode Field Effect Rectifier Diode (FERD) array rated for 60 V reverse voltage and 10 A average rectified current per diode. The forward voltage is specified at 575 mV maximum at 10 A — a low-drop characteristic that keeps conduction losses in check for a 60 V class part. Recovery time is under 500 ns at >200 mA, placing it in the fast-recovery category.
Conduction loss and leakage at temperature
At 10 A forward current the Vf ceiling is 575 mV. The reverse leakage is 200 µA at 60 V, and the maximum junction temperature is 175 °C. The TO-220-3 through-hole package allows a standard clip-on or screw-mount heatsink. The common-cathode configuration means the two anodes are separate — the tab is the common cathode, so the heatsink is at the output potential, not ground. Insulating kit or shared heatsink isolation is needed if the output rail floats above chassis ground.
