Common-anode Schottky pair at 300 mA — what it buys the rail
The STMicroelectronics BAT54AWFILM is a Schottky diode array with two diodes in a common-anode configuration, rated for 40 V reverse voltage and 300 mA average rectified current per diode. The 5 ns reverse recovery time (trr) makes this part suitable for high-frequency switching applications such as flyback clamping, OR-ing diodes on low-voltage rails, and protection clamping on signal lines up to 40 V.
40 V reverse standoff and 300 mA forward — the voltage-current envelope
The 40 V maximum DC reverse voltage (Vr) provides adequate margin for 24 VDC rails and 12 V battery systems, but the part is not rated for 48 V bus applications. The 300 mA average rectified current per diode (Io) is the continuous forward current ceiling; the 900 mV maximum forward voltage drop at 100 mA (Vf) gives a rough conduction-loss floor at typical operating points.
