Schottky pair for high-speed rectification
The STMicroelectronics BAR43AFILM is a dual Schottky diode array in a common-anode configuration, rated 30 V reverse voltage and 100 mA average rectified current per diode. Packaged in a SOT-23-3 surface-mount case, it targets high-frequency rectification, clamping, and OR-ing applications where the 5 ns reverse recovery time keeps switching losses low.
Forward drop and leakage — the thermal trade-off
At 100 mA forward current the maximum forward voltage is 1 V, which sets the conduction loss floor. Reverse leakage at 30 V is 500 nA — low enough for battery-powered signal conditioning, though Schottky leakage rises with junction temperature up to the 150 °C maximum. The 100 mA average rating per diode means the pair can handle 200 mA total if the common anode current is shared, but each diode's individual load stays below 100 mA.
SOT-23-3 footprint and mounting
The SOT-23-3 package uses the standard three-lead land pattern common to small-signal transistors and diodes.
