Six unidirectional channels with a 150Mbps data-rate ceiling
The SI8660BA-B-IS1R packs six unidirectional channels, all six on side 1 driving side 2, making it a pure forward-direction isolator for splitting a single-ended bus across a galvanic barrier. The 150Mbps data rate supports SPI clock lines, parallel GPIO expansion, and high-speed encoder interfaces without the timing margin squeeze that slower isolators introduce. Propagation delay is 13ns max in either direction, and pulse-width distortion holds to 4.5ns max — tight enough that a 6.7ns (150Mbps) bit period still leaves margin for the downstream receiver setup time. The 2.5ns typical rise/fall time keeps the signal edges clean across short PCB traces.
Rated at 1000Vrms, this part covers basic isolation for low-voltage domains where the working voltage stays under 400V peak — think isolated SPI between a 3.3V MCU and a 5V sensor front-end, or separating the analog and digital ground planes on a mixed-signal board. The 35kV/µs common-mode transient immunity means it won't glitch when a nearby relay or motor drive slams a fast common-mode step across the barrier. No isolated power is built in — the secondary side needs its own rail.

Housed in a 16-SOIC narrow-body (3.90mm body width), the SI8660BA-B-IS1R uses the standard 1.27mm pitch footprint that every pick-and-place line handles without a nozzle change. Lifecycle status is active per Skyworks.
