150 Mbps capacitive-coupled isolation for industrial signal chains
The Skyworks SI8641BA-C-IU is a 4-channel digital isolator from the Si864x family, using capacitive coupling technology to pass data across a galvanic barrier at up to 150 Mbps. That data rate handles SPI clock lines, UART streams, and general-purpose digital isolation without bottlenecking the bus — the 13 ns propagation delay (max) and 2.5 ns rise/fall times keep the signal edges clean enough for the receiver to sample reliably. The channel configuration is 3 forward inputs (Side 1) and 1 reverse input (Side 2), which maps naturally to isolated SPI (SCLK, MOSI, CS forward; MISO reverse) or any three-plus-one signal split.
1000 Vrms isolation with 35 kV/µs transient immunity
Rated at 1000 Vrms isolation voltage, this isolator suits basic galvanic separation in industrial control, motor-drive interfaces, and isolated sensor front-ends. The 35 kV/µs common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) is the spec that matters when the part sits on a board next to a switching power stage — fast voltage transients from IGBT or SiC switching events couple through parasitic capacitance, and if the CMTI is too low, the output toggles falsely. 35 kV/µs keeps the data valid through those edges.
Active lifecycle — no obsolescence risk for current BOMs
ROHS3 compliant — no restricted-substance exemptions that could trigger a supply gap in EU or global markets. No stock-holding claim — each RFQ is handled individually.
