LIN transceiver for automotive bus nodes
The NXP TJA1021T/10/C,118 is a single-wire LIN transceiver designed for automotive in-vehicle networks. It handles the physical layer of the LIN bus protocol, converting digital UART signals to the LIN bus levels and back, with a full-duplex 1/1 driver/receiver configuration. The device is AEC-Q100 qualified, making it suitable for under-hood and cabin electronics where reliability over temperature and vibration is required.
Supply range and bus interface
The transceiver operates from a 5.5V to 27V supply, covering both 12V and 24V automotive battery systems without an external regulator. The receiver includes 175 mV of hysteresis to reject bus noise and ensure clean signal recovery on long or noisy LIN wires.
Package and mounting
Housed in an 8-pin SOIC package (8-SO, 0.154" body width, 3.90 mm), surface-mount assembly. The SOIC-8 footprint is standard for LIN transceivers, simplifying layout and second-source evaluation.
Lifecycle and supply position
Listed as Active in production with ROHS3 compliance. No end-of-life notification or last-time-buy schedule is in effect.
