Gate drive and switching profile
Gate charge is 11 nC at 10 V, and the input capacitance measures 633 pF at 12 V drain-source. These numbers keep the switching transition losses moderate for a device of this current class — a standard 1 A gate driver can turn it on in tens of nanoseconds. The 10 V drive voltage for the rated Rds(on) means you need a gate supply above the logic level; a 12 V rail or a bootstrap circuit from the switching node handles it cleanly. The ±20 V maximum gate-source rating leaves room for ringing on long PCB traces, but a gate resistor in the 10 Ω range is still prudent for EMI control.
Temperature range and package
Junction temperature range spans -55 °C to 175 °C, fitting industrial and automotive under-hood environments. The D2PAK (TO-263) footprint is a standard surface-mount power package; the exposed tab on the top side carries the drain connection and must be soldered to a copper island on the PCB for thermal relief. The part is ROHS3 compliant, per the current status.
Lifecycle and sourcing
Active product status with no last-time-buy notice. No pin-compatible second source is listed in the available documentation, so dual-sourcing requires a qualification effort on a functionally similar device from another vendor.
