3PDT differential switch with 950 MHz bandwidth
The NX3DV642GU,115 is a 3PDT (three-pole double-throw) differential analog switch from NXP, designed for switching MIPI signal lanes in mobile and portable applications. Its 950 MHz -3 dB bandwidth supports the data rates of MIPI D-PHY and C-PHY links without degrading the eye diagram. The break-before-make switching action prevents momentary shorting of adjacent signal lines during channel transition — critical for maintaining signal integrity on differential pairs where even a few nanoseconds of overlap can corrupt the data stream.
Single-supply operation from 2.65 V to 4.3 V covers the common MIPI VDDIO rails (1.8 V through 3.3 V) with margin. Maximum on-resistance of 14 Ohm at the rated supply keeps the insertion loss low enough for MIPI signal paths — the switch's RON combines with the trace impedance and termination to set the overall attenuation.
Package and board integration
Housed in a 24-XFQFN package (2.5 x 3.4 mm body), the NX3DV642GU,115 mounts on the PCB with a standard surface-mount reflow profile. The 0.5 mm pitch and exposed pad require a solder-paste stencil with good aperture ratio for void-free joints.
Active lifecycle and compliance
ROHS3 compliant, with no restricted substances above the threshold limits.
