What this 4-bit level translator does
The NTB0104BQ,115 is a 4-channel bidirectional voltage-level translator from NXP, designed to connect two independent voltage domains on a single IC. It belongs to the NTB0104 family and uses auto-direction sensing — no direction-control pin needed — so the data flow follows the signal edges automatically. Each of the four channels is bidirectional and supports a data rate up to 100 Mbps, making it suitable for SPI, UART, GPIO, and other moderate-speed serial interfaces. The output type is tri-state, non-inverted, so unused channels can be disabled without loading the bus.
Package, footprint, and temperature range
The wide range means the translator can sit on a board near a hot processor or in an outdoor enclosure without derating. Mounting is surface-mount only; no through-hole variant exists.
