Gate charge and switching speed
Total gate charge is 120 nC at 10 V, which is moderate for a 75 A device. The input capacitance is 4300 pF at 25 V drain-source. These numbers tell you the gate driver must source and sink enough current to charge and discharge the gate within your switching period — a 1 A driver will give roughly 120 ns rise time, adequate for hard-switching up to several hundred kHz. For soft-switching or lower frequency, a smaller driver suffices.
Package and mounting
The D2PAK (TO-263-7) is a surface-mount package with six leads plus a tab. The tab is the drain connection and must be soldered to a copper area on the PCB for thermal dissipation. The 272 W power rating assumes the tab is held at case temperature — in practice, your PCB copper and airflow determine the real limit. The package is compatible with standard reflow soldering profiles for lead-free assemblies.
Lifecycle and sourcing posture
Listed as Active with ROHS3 compliance. There is no announced end-of-life or last-time-buy window. For a BOM freeze or production line, this part is currently in regular supply through the independent distribution channel.
