75 mOhm at 10 V — the switching loss number that matters
The TO-220AB through-hole package makes it a direct replacement candidate for boards where the original TO-220 MOSFET has failed — the scorch mark tells you the junction let go, and this part's 62 W dissipation ceiling and 175°C junction rating give you headroom for a robust swap.
Through-hole TO-220 — the repair-bench favourite
The TO-220AB package (three leads, metal tab) is a through-hole form factor that solders into a board with a single hole pattern. For a rework tech, that means no hot-air profile, no BGA reball — just a soldering iron and a desoldering pump. The metal tab carries the drain potential, so the heatsink interface needs an insulating pad or the chassis must float. At 62 W maximum dissipation, the tab is the primary thermal path; a proper thermal compound and a bolted heatsink keep the junction below 175°C even under sustained load.
