Common-cathode varactor pair in SOT-23
The BB207,215 from NXP is a silicon varactor diode configured as a common-cathode pair in a single SOT-23 (TO-236AB) package. It is designed for VCO tuning, phase-locked loops, and RF filter alignment where two matched varactors are needed in a push-pull or balanced topology. The capacitance ratio is 3.3 measured from 1 V to 7.5 V reverse bias (C1/C7.5), giving a tuning range wide enough for most LC VCOs in the UHF band. At 8 V reverse bias and 1 MHz, the nominal capacitance is 26.3 pF.
15 V peak reverse — derating for RF swing
Peak reverse voltage is 15 V. In a resonant tank, the RF voltage swing can exceed the DC bias — budget headroom below the 15 V ceiling to avoid forward-biasing the junction on the negative half-cycle.
Lifecycle status is Active with ROHS3 compliance.
