Logic-level triac for low-power AC switching
The WeEn Semiconductors ACT108-600D,412 is a logic-level sensitive-gate triac in a through-hole TO-92-3 package. It switches AC loads up to 800 mA RMS at 600 V off-state, with a gate trigger current of 5 mA maximum — low enough to drive directly from a microcontroller I/O pin or a low-voltage logic output without an intermediate transistor stage. Typical applications include small appliance controls, solid-state relays, fan speed controllers, and lamp dimmers where the load is resistive or moderately inductive.
Gate drive and switching characteristics
The maximum gate trigger voltage is 900 mV and the maximum gate trigger current is 5 mA.
Package and mounting
The TO-92-3 through-hole package suits low-cost, hand-soldered or wave-soldered PCB assemblies. The bulk packaging means parts are loose in a bag or tube — verify your pick-and-place feeder compatibility if you plan automated insertion; tape-and-reel variants may be available under a different ordering code suffix. The single-triac configuration keeps the footprint small for point-of-load switching.
