Active quad buffer for mixed-voltage buses
The Nexperia 74LVC126ADB,112 is a quad non-inverting buffer with 3-state outputs from the 74LVC family, designed for mixed-voltage systems running from 1.2V up to 3.6V. Each of its four independent buffers sinks or sources 24mA, enough to drive typical logic buses or a row of LEDs without an external transistor. The 14-SSOP package (5.30mm body width) is a compact surface-mount footprint that reworks cleanly under hot air — the 0.65mm pitch is forgiving for hand rework if you keep the tip clean and use flux. The -40°C to 125°C operating range covers automotive under-hood and industrial motor-drive environments where standard 85°C parts would derate or fail. Active lifecycle status from Nexperia means this part is current-production with no last-time-buy risk — suitable for both new designs and sustaining production.
Supply flexibility and output drive
The 1.2V to 3.6V supply range lets this buffer bridge a 1.8V microcontroller to a 3.3V peripheral, or sit on a 2.5V backplane. The 3-state outputs go high-impedance when the output-enable pin is low, which is the standard way to share a data bus between multiple drivers. Symmetric 24mA drive at both logic levels means the rise and fall times match — important for signal integrity on short traces up to a few inches.
14-SSOP: rework-friendly footprint
The 14-SSOP (0.209", 5.30mm width) is a common narrow-body SSOP with 0.65mm lead pitch. It reflows well with standard solder paste and survives a couple of hot-air rework cycles if you preheat the board to 100°C. The 1.75mm seated height keeps it low-profile for tight enclosures.
