1 A fast-blow fuse for DC rail protection
The 1206SFF100F/63-2: Rated 1 A continuous at 63 V DC, this SFF-series fast-blow fuse clears faults up to 50 A at the rated voltage — the 50 A interrupting rating means it safely opens under short-circuit conditions without rupturing the 1206 ceramic body. The 0.012 melting I²t figure is low enough to coordinate with downstream semiconductor protection — a downstream TVS or Schottky rated for a 50 A surge will see the fuse open before the junction exceeds its peak current tolerance.
Board-fit and temperature envelope
1206 (3216 metric) footprint, surface-mount package — compatible with standard pick-and-place and reflow assembly. The 0.22 Ω cold resistance means the fuse self-heats about 0.22 W at rated current; derating is recommended above 85°C ambient to avoid nuisance opens.
Compliance and packaging options
UL approved — the fuse carries the UL listing mark, which simplifies acceptance in UL 508A panels and other North American equipment. Available on tape and reel (TR) for volume assembly or cut tape (CT) for prototyping and low-volume builds.
