Temperature and package
DO-214AB (SMCJ) is the standard SMC package with a land-pattern footprint compatible across multiple TVS manufacturers, which matters for second-source qualification — the land pattern alone does not guarantee electrical equivalence, but it removes the board-spin variable from the layout. Surface-mount termination with the typical tin-lead finish supports reflow-profile assembly; the tape-and-reel and cut-tape options cover both production run and prototype quantities.
Bidirectional single-channel TVS — when protecting an AC node or a rail where polarity reversal is possible, the bidirectional configuration avoids the forward-conduction asymmetry that a unidirectional device would introduce.
