1.5 kW transient clamp for 58 V DC rails
The 1.5KE68A-TB: Its 92 V maximum clamping voltage at 16.5 A peak pulse current (10/1000 µs waveform) defines the protection ceiling for downstream components — anything rated below 92 V sees the full clamp voltage during a surge event. The 64.6 V minimum breakdown voltage gives a 6.5 V guard band above the 58.1 V standoff rating, ensuring the diode does not conduct at normal operating voltage while triggering reliably above the threshold. Single unidirectional channel, so it protects one DC rail polarity per device.
Temperature range and package fit
The DO-201AA / DO-27 axial leaded package suits through-hole boards where the lead bend and body length fit standard 0.4-inch pitch layouts. No power line protection (not designed for AC mains clamping), so it is best applied on DC power buses, signal lines, or low-voltage secondary rails where a unidirectional clamp is needed.
