Through-hole axial — board-fit and rework note
Housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial leaded package, the 1.5KE33 mounts through-hole. The DO-201 footprint is standard for this power class — the axial leads carry the surge current into the die without the trace-width constraints of a surface-mount pad. For rework, the leads tolerate standard soldering iron temperatures; no special bake-out profile is needed.
Obsolete — sourcing posture
Marked obsolete by Littelfuse. For a 24 V rail protection socket, a parametric equivalent (same package, same 1500 W rating, similar standoff) can be sourced; the BOM line should be reviewed for a drop-in alternative if volume commitments extend beyond current inventory.
Temperature and application envelope
The device is marked as general-purpose; no power-line protection (no internal series element), so it is a shunt-only clamp for signal or DC bus protection.
