TVS clamping and the voltage stack
The 1.5KE27: Its 23.1 V reverse standoff voltage (working voltage) means the line it protects can run at 23.1 V DC without the diode conducting leakage; breakdown starts at 24.35 V minimum, and clamping is guaranteed at 39.38 V maximum at the rated 40.5 A peak pulse current.
Housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial leaded package, also referred to as DO-201 by Littelfuse. The through-hole mounting suits point-to-point wiring or PCB insertion where the axial leads are bent and soldered into plated through-holes. Available on Tape & Reel (TR) — the axial leads are taped for automated insertion, but the reel quantity is not specified here; confirm the reel count with the supplier at quote time.
Available through independent surplus and broker channels.
