1500W surge clamp for 12.8V rails
The 1.5KE15-B: It clamps transients on a 12.8V reverse standoff rail — the steady-state voltage it sits across without conducting — and breaks down at a minimum of 13.55V to begin shunting surge current. With a clamping voltage of 22.26V at 71.7A peak pulse current, it holds the protected node below the typical 30V abs-max of downstream 12V logic and linear regulators. The 71.7A figure is the peak current the device can pass once in avalanche — not a continuous rating.
Through-hole DO-201 axial footprint
Housed in the DO-201AA / DO-27 axial leaded package, the 1.5KE15-B mounts through-hole. The DO-201 body is the standard footprint for 1500W TVS diodes — the lead spacing and hole diameter match the common PCB layout used across the 1.5KE family. The bulk packaging means parts ship loose in a bag or tube, not taped and reeled — factor manual or tube-fed placement if the line runs automated insertion.
Obsolete — sourced through surplus
Available through independent surplus and broker channels. Quantities are lot-specific; the exact date code and manufacturer traceability are confirmed at RFQ.
Signal-line protection, not mains
The 1.5KE15-B is rated for general-purpose transient suppression. Power line protection is explicitly not supported — this device is intended for signal, data, or low-voltage DC bus clamping where the standoff voltage matches the rail.
