Clamp voltage and pulse current — the fit decision
The 1.5KE10: The 104.8 A peak pulse current (10/1000 µs) defines the surge the diode can absorb before failing short.
Through-hole DO-201 — board-fit note
The DO-201AA (DO-27) axial leaded package is a through-hole form factor — it solders into a plated through-hole on the PCB and stands off the board. No surface-mount reflow; hand-solder or wave-solder only. The axial leads are tin-plated copper. Power line protection is not supported — this is a general-purpose TVS for signal or low-voltage DC rail clamping, not for AC mains or high-energy transients on the line side.
