1.5 A slow-blow in an 0603 footprint
The Littelfuse 0603SFS150F/32-2 is a 1.5 A, 32 V DC surface-mount fuse from the SFS series. Its slow-blow characteristic (melting I²t of 0.18) means it tolerates brief inrush current spikes — capacitor charging at power-up or a motor start — without opening, while still clearing sustained overloads. The 50 A breaking capacity at 32 V DC tells you the fuse can safely interrupt a fault current up to that level without arcing across the element or rupturing the ceramic body. In a 24 V rail with a stiff battery or bulk capacitor bank, that 50 A rating is the margin between a clean open and a cascade failure.
Obsolete — sourcing reality for a discontinued line
Availability is limited to independent surplus and broker inventory. Each lot is confirmed at quote time — no standing stock is held. The UL recognition means the fuse carries the same safety certification as the production-run parts, but date codes will be past the original production window.
Footprint and environmental envelope
The 0603 (1608 metric) case is a standard surface-mount footprint — 1.60 mm x 0.80 mm x 0.80 mm. No special pad geometry is needed beyond the manufacturer's recommended land pattern for 0603 fuses. DC cold resistance is 0.1 Ohm, so at 1.5 A the voltage drop is 150 mV — negligible on a 24 V or 12 V rail, but worth factoring into a 3.3 V supply headroom budget.
