Obsolete — last-time-buy sourcing
Littelfuse has marked the 0603SFP500F/32-2 as obsolete.
5 A at 32 V DC — the clearing spec that matters
Rated 5 A continuous at 32 V DC. The 50 A breaking capacity at rated voltage means this fuse safely interrupts a fault current up to 50 A without rupturing the 0603 ceramic body — critical for protecting downstream traces and components in a 24 V or 12 V rail where the available fault current can hit that level. Melting I²t of 3.25 tells you how much inrush energy the fuse absorbs before opening. A capacitive input circuit drawing a 20 A peak for 200 µs delivers about 0.04 A²s — well below the 3.25 threshold, so nuisance-blowing on start-up is unlikely. The 0.013 Ohm DC cold resistance keeps voltage drop under 65 mV at rated current.
