What this 0.22 µF, 35 V tantalum does on your board
The TPSA224K035R6000: This is a molded tantalum capacitor from the KYOCERA AVX TPS series, rated at 0.22 µF with ±10% tolerance and a 35 V working voltage. The 6 Ohm ESR tells you the ripple-current capability is modest — it is a good fit for decoupling a 35 V rail where the ripple is low, or for timing/RC circuits where the ESR is part of the design budget. The 1206 (3216 Metric) case is a common footprint that reflows easily under a hot-air station. The molded body gives it mechanical stability during rework — it will not crack as readily as some conformal-coated tantalums when the board flexes.
It is suitable for outdoor telecom, engine-bay electronics, or any board that sees thermal cycling between a cold start and a hot running condition. The molded package handles the expansion without weeping electrolyte.
