Its 140V reverse standoff voltage means it will not conduct at the nominal bus voltage up to that level, so it sits across a 140V DC rail without leakage. When a surge exceeds the 155V minimum breakdown voltage, the device clamps at a maximum of 227V while shunting up to 6.6A of peak pulse current under the standard 10/1000µs waveform.

Rated at 1500W peak pulse power, this part handles substantial transient energy — typical for protecting 120VAC rectified DC buses or 140V telecom supplies. The junction temperature range spans -55°C to 150°C, which covers outdoor telecom cabinets, industrial motor drives, and under-hood automotive modules where ambient heat is a factor.
