500 mA fast-blow fuse for 32 VDC rails
The F1206A0R50FSTR is a 500 mA fast-blow surface-mount fuse from the KYOCERA AVX Accu-Guard® series, rated for 32 VDC. It lives in a standard 1206 (3216 metric) package — same footprint as a chip resistor or capacitor, so it drops right into an existing pick-and-place bill without a new nozzle or stencil change. The fast-blow response means it clears on a short before the downstream silicon sees the full fault energy; the 0.0002 A²s melting I²t tells you the let-through is low enough to protect a typical 32 V power-input stage.
Cold resistance and breaking capacity
DC cold resistance is 0.35 Ω — that is the series resistance the fuse adds to the rail when it is not blown. At 500 mA the voltage drop is about 175 mV, which matters if you are running a 3.3 V or 5 V regulator off that rail and every millivolt of headroom counts. Breaking capacity at rated voltage is 50 A, so it can interrupt a hard short on a 32 V supply that can source up to 50 A without the fuse housing rupturing or arcing across the element.
