The Infineon TLE4309G is a single-output linear LED driver delivering up to 500 mA per channel, with PWM dimming control integrated on-chip. The internal switch is rated for the full 500 mA output, so no external pass transistor is needed — the driver handles the current directly.
Housed in a PG-TO263-7-1 (D²Pak with 7 leads plus tab), the exposed pad carries the thermal path to the PCB copper plane. The tab is the main heat-sinking interface — a solid via pattern under the pad keeps the junction below the 150°C ceiling at full 500 mA load.
