The Infineon SPA07N65C3XKSA1 is an N-channel enhancement-mode MOSFET from the CoolMOS™ series, built on a charge-compensation technology that reduces on-resistance and gate charge compared to conventional planar MOSFETs of the same voltage class.
The 650 V Vdss gives you a solid margin for 400 V DC-link rails (typical in PFC stages) and universal-input flyback converters, where peak drain voltages can exceed 600 V during line transients. The 7.3 A continuous rating at 25°C case temperature is the headline number, but remember it derates with case temperature — at 100°C case you typically lose about 40% of that current capability, so size the heatsink accordingly. Input capacitance of 790 pF at 25 V drain-source is low enough that the gate drive doesn't need a heavy buffer, but check the Miller plateau charge if you're switching above 100 kHz.
