Device identity and key parametrics
The Infineon KP216K1409 is a XENSIV absolute pressure sensor in an 8-SMD module (PG-DSOF-8-16), delivering an amplified, temperature-compensated analog voltage output from 0.5 V to 4.5 V across its full pressure span. It senses absolute pressure from 2.18 PSI up to 16.68 PSI (15 to 115 kPa) with a typical accuracy of ±0.65 PSI (4.50 kPa), making it suitable for barometric and manifold air pressure (MAP) sensing in automotive and industrial board-mount applications.
Supply, output, and operating envelope
Rated for -40°C to 140°C ambient, it covers the full under-hood temperature band and industrial hot-spot environments without derating.
Housed in an 8-SMD module with a surface-mount footprint (PG-DSOF-8-16) and SMD (SMT) Tab termination, it places like a standard SOIC-8 — no port means the pressure is applied directly to the sensor die through a gel or open cavity, so the PCB must keep the sensing area clear of conformal coating and flux residues. Supplied in bulk tube or tray — not tape-and-reel — so it feeds through a tube feeder or manual placement; verify the pick-and-place nozzle clearance for the module height before programming the line.
