600 V, 26 A, 120 mOhm — CoolMOS P7 in the full-pack isolator
The IPA60R120P7XKSA1: The 120 mOhm max on-resistance is specified at 8.2 A and 10 V gate drive — that's the operating point for a hard-switched PFC or flyback converter where conduction loss matters most. It comes in the TO-220 Full Pack (PG-TO220 Full Pack), a fully isolated through-hole package. The full-pack moulding wraps the backside tab, so you don't need an insulating pad or thermal grease between the device and the heatsink — the isolation is built in. That saves assembly time and eliminates the thermal interface material as a failure point in high-vibration environments.
Total gate charge Qg is 36 nC at Vgs = 10 V. The input capacitance Ciss is 1544 pF measured at Vds = 400 V, which sets the miller plateau width and the turn-on/turn-off delay. A gate resistor in the 10–22 ohm range will keep the switching edges clean without excessive ringing. Maximum power dissipation is 28 W at case temperature Tc — the full-pack body limits heat extraction compared to a standard TO-220 with an exposed tab. If you're pushing the current near the 26 A limit at high duty cycles, you'll need a heatsink with good airflow or forced convection to stay below the 150 °C junction max.
It's RoHS3 compliant.
