The IPA60R080P7XKSA1: The TO-220 Full Pack (PG-TO220-FP) package isolates the backside tab electrically, so no insulating washer or pad is needed between the device and the heatsink. The 29 W power dissipation ceiling at the case (Tc) reflects the higher thermal resistance.

Total gate charge (Qg) is 51 nC at 10 V. The input capacitance (Ciss) is 2180 pF at 400 V drain-source. The 4 V typical gate threshold at 590 µA drain current gives a clean noise margin against spurious turn-on in a half-bridge leg.

Through-hole mounting and thermal interface
